The Foundation of Greater Montréal went over the 420-million-dollar mark in assets under management in 2021

which ranks it sixth among Canadian community foundations after operating for only 20 years or so. Since its inception, FGM has distributed more than $120M to Greater Montréal community organizations.

Those assets are spread across 752 different funds

These funds support causes, community organizations and projects in all sectors of our collective life, from medical research to culture and the arts, as well as environmental protection, access to quality education, Reconciliation with First Peoples, food security, homelessness, mental health and more.

Gross rate of return of 9,15%

Thanks to contributions exceeding $50M and to a solid 9,15% rate of return throughout the year, FGM has never been in such financial health or better positioned to serve the Greater Montréal community.

$24,4M in grants

In its history, except for its immediate response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Foundation has never granted as much money in a single year as it did in 2021.

In order to support the needs of the community in Greater Montréal, FGM supported the projects and services of more than 530 local organizations in all sectors and across the territory.
