The Foundation of Greater Montréal recently unveiled the list of recipient organizations of the Women’s Impact Montréal Collective Fund (WIM Fund) for 2025. As chair of the WIM Fund Advisory Committee, I am very proud of every member of this giving circle. Their commitment translates to a concrete impact in the community, and I congratulate all those who make this impact possible on the ground.
The WIM Fund was born from the realization that community organizations dedicated to the well-being of women and girls were not receiving their fair share of support. In response, we decided to develop a philanthropic fund led by women, for women.
In this spirit, many members of the WIM Fund had the privilege of celebrating Janette Bertrand, in the presence of this great cultural figure, on the eve of her one hundredth birthday, on March 24 of this year. What Ms. Bertrand has achieved throughout her long public life, including the causes she actively champions to this day, continue to inspire generations of women in Quebec. In the Fund’s four years of existence, we have granted a total of nearly $1 million to Greater Montreal organizations that work directly for the well-being and advancement of women and girls and the defence of their rights. Click here to find out more about the WIM Fund’s operations and impact.
