Au fil de son enfance en Ha\u00efti, Ruben Antoine a \u00e9t\u00e9 profond\u00e9ment touch\u00e9 par la mis\u00e8re qu\u2019il observait autour de lui. Ses parents travaillaient pour SOS Villages d’Enfants, un organisme de bienfaisance venant en aide aux enfants orphelins et abandonn\u00e9s dans le monde entier, et le jeune Ruben a grandi aupr\u00e8s de plus d\u2019une centaine de jeunes ayant eu une enfance difficile. Cette exp\u00e9rience a \u00e9t\u00e9 fondatrice, ancrant en lui l\u2019importance du partage.<\/p>\n

Apr\u00e8s des \u00e9tudes \u00e0 HEC Montr\u00e9al et un cheminement professionnel l\u2019ayant amen\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler dans plusieurs pays, M. Antoine pratique aujourd\u2019hui en tant que gestionnaire de portefeuille chez Tulett, Matthews et Associ\u00e9s. Se consid\u00e9rant privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 d\u2019avoir b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 de cette \u00e9ducation et de ce parcours, il souhaite donner un coup de main \u00e0 ceux et celles qui n\u2019ont pas eu cette chance. Une cause qui lui tient particuli\u00e8rement \u00e0 c\u0153ur est de favoriser l\u2019\u00e9limination des disparit\u00e9s financi\u00e8res dont souffrent notamment les membres des communaut\u00e9s noires, les nouveaux arrivants et nouvelles arrivantes, ainsi que les femmes.<\/p>\n

Pour ce faire, il a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 plusieurs projets de litt\u00e9ratie financi\u00e8re en plus de s\u2019impliquer aupr\u00e8s de Microcr\u00e9dit Montr\u00e9al, du Groupe 3737 et du Black Wealth Club; des initiatives et organismes ayant pour mission l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9vation financi\u00e8re des communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Afin d\u2019approfondir son engagement, M. Antoine a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un fonds philanthropique \u00e0 la FGM. Le Fonds Fondation Ruben Antoine pour l\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9vation financi\u00e8re a pour mission \u00ab\u00a0d\u2019encourager la cr\u00e9ation de prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 personnelle et collective au sein des communaut\u00e9s d\u00e9savantag\u00e9es en contribuant \u00e0 des initiatives qui supportent l’\u00e9ducation, la litt\u00e9ratie financi\u00e8re, l\u2019entrepreneuriat et l\u2019\u00e9mancipation \u00e9conomique\u00a0\u00bb.
