Professeurs d\u2019universit\u00e9 retrait\u00e9s, Marie\u00a0Paule et Mokhtar Amami ont \u00e0 c\u0153ur de \u00ab\u00a0redonner \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 ce qu\u2019elle [leur] a donn\u00e9\u00a0: une conscience attentive au vivre ensemble dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 diversifi\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb. C\u2019est pourquoi il et elle souhaitent faire une diff\u00e9rence et s\u2019impliquent aupr\u00e8s de diff\u00e9rentes causes, comme la r\u00e9novation d\u2019une \u00e9cole primaire en Tunisie, et le soutien au d\u00e9veloppement musical dans un quartier d\u00e9favoris\u00e9 de Tunis.<\/p>\n

En\u00a02023, M. et Mme<\/sup>\u00a0Amami ont souhait\u00e9 porter plus loin leur engagement et leur implication philanthropique en cr\u00e9ant un fonds \u00e0 la\u00a0FGM. Le Fonds Fondation Marie\u00a0Paule et Mokhtar Amami a pour mission de soutenir les jeunes Maghr\u00e9bins et Maghr\u00e9bines du Canada afin qu\u2019ils deviennent des citoyen\u00b7ne\u00b7s responsables et des leaders dans leur communaut\u00e9. Il vise ainsi \u00e0 promouvoir l\u2019esprit entrepreneurial et la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019entreprises et \u00e0 orienter les efforts et les talents de ces jeunes vers une formation facilitant leur int\u00e9gration. Il constitue dans un premier temps un fonds de bourses par le biais d\u2019organismes tels que la Fondation Club Avenir ou des fondations universitaires montr\u00e9alaises.<\/p>\n

Marie\u00a0Paule et Mokhtar Amami ont cr\u00e9\u00e9 ce fonds parce qu\u2019il leur est important de partager leurs ressources avec la communaut\u00e9 maghr\u00e9bine. Pour ce faire, le couple explique avoir \u00ab\u00a0choisi la\u00a0FGM pour son r\u00f4le de facilitateur et son orientation de soutien aux communaut\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb. M. et Mme<\/sup>\u00a0Amami sont \u00e9galement membres du R\u00e9seau des ambassadeurs et ambassadrices de la\u00a0FGM, dont l\u2019objectif est de faire conna\u00eetre autour de soi les services de la Fondation et leurs avantages, et ainsi d\u2019avoir un impact encore plus significatif dans la communaut\u00e9 du Grand Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n
