Our Team
The Foundation of Greater Montréal has put together a diverse, talented and passionate team to manage its daily operations in the service of the community.
Yacine Bouzid
Collaborates in the planning, development and implementation of strategy relating to philanthropic development and fund creation. Establishes and manages a portfolio of fund creators, and promotes both philanthropy and FGM to them. Is responsible for implementing a program of recognition and engagement for donors and fund creators.
Lise Charbonneau CPA
Is a member of the management committee and responsible for the strategic management of human, financial, informational and material resources. Oversees the work of the accounting unit, and ensures that accountability standards are adhered to. Coordinates the audit and investment committees and ensures liaison with the external investment manager. Ensures that FGMâs operations are effective and efficient.
MĂ©lanie Cyr
Provides administrative support to the entire team, greets visitors and manages meeting room bookings. Is responsible for keeping the database up-to-date (with regards to client information, distribution transactions and creation of new funds).
Marion Daul
Manages the Vital Signs project, event organization, and graphic design, working with a view to community engagement.
Simon Delorme
Responsible for both feeding and managing the Foundationâs digital communications outlets (website, e-newsletter, social media) and for the majority of the Foundationâs written content (presentations, speeches and messages from the CEO, selected publications, various correspondence.).
Marie-Andrée Farmer
Ensures the setting up and overall coordination of emergency funds deployed by FGM in the context of COVID-19. Participates in identifying the social issues making an impact on FGMâs territory. Identifies promising initiatives and organizations, and assesses requests for funding.
Valéry Fienena
Assists the Director, Philanthropic Development in setting up funds and partnerships and provides customer service to donors. Creates prospect lists, produces relevant tables and analyses, and ensures that the database is kept up-to-date.
Catherine Fisette
Provides strategic counsel and manages the unit. Coordinates special projects. Ensures that FGM and its CEO have as prominent a profile as possible.
Sarepta Kalonga-Nyunga
Collaborates with the philanthropic development team in matters relating to organizations that receive funding; responds to general requests conveyed to the team by community organizations; follows through on requests for payment of grants.
Sofia Laroussi
Collaborates in managing the process of selecting recipients for funding, and in equitable distribution of funding; maintains relationships with recipient organizations. Works to enhance FGMâs understanding of the needs and issues on its territory, and participates in FGMâs internal deployment of JEDI initiatives.
Yolanda Macias Schaffner
Is responsible for FGMâs legal affairs (analysis, interpretation, drafting or review of various contracts, reports, by-laws, policies and legal documents) and for Corporate Secretary duties (organizing meetings of the Board and its committees, drafting minutes of meetings, and ensuring followup on matters decided at Board meetings).
Karel Mayrand
Karel Mayrand took up his role in June of 2020. He manages the team and the operations of the Foundation, establishes its overall strategy in tandem with the Board of Directors, and is responsible for representing FGM vis-Ă -vis the Foundationâs philanthropic and community partners, elected officials and the media.
Samuel Sharetzer Michel
Provides all necessary assistance for accounting and finance operations; ensures that data management systems for accounting and finance function and correlate properly with information systems, participates in the assessment and implementation of the serviceâs accounting, finance and administrative processes.
Alexandra Suchecki
Works towards fund creation in the context of governmental and private sector matching programs, adhering to their rules and standards, and applying the best investment strategies for each organization. Supports them and informs them of changes in these programs, or of fund creation opportunities outside the programs. Analyzes and develops strategies for attracting and retaining fund creators.
Linda Tchombé, MBA
Ensures that FGM better reflects our community by developing a new network of donors and fund creators who are representative of Montreal; for example, women, or individuals from the tech sector or from ethnocultural minorities.
Samenthat Thoby
Provides administrative support to the philanthropic development team as well as to fund creators.
Marion Van Staeyen
Responsible for publications (annual reports, brochures, etc.) and the production of communications vehicles intended for donors, organizations, and the FGM team. Coordinates reflection that aims to improve internal and external communications functions.
Delphine Vauclair
Updates data in the CRM database and assists the Administrative Assistant and the team in their various functions.
Aloun Vongsipraseuth
Ensures the integrity of financial information. Prepares financial reports in a timely fashion.
